Lois (Lamb) Madden is a native of Niagara Falls and began her collegiate career in 1968. She was the original women's leader at Niagara College as she led a group of young women to the Student Administrative Council, demanded and got equal funding for women's intercollegiate activities at the college. Lois led the Women's Basketball and Volleyball teams to three OCAA championships. In 1968-69 the women won the basketball championships and in 1969-70 Lois captained the basketball and the volleyball teams to OCAA championships. Lois was voted the MVP on the basketball team in 1969-70.
